Winter Sports Day

COME ON YOU CAN DO IT! I heard the crowd cheering for our team it was so nerve racking. Yesterday I heard that I had to go in the A team for Goalkeeper because the real Goalkeeper for the A team was sick, so someone from the A team dropped down to the B team for Goalkeeper. As we zoomed our way to Henderson High on the bus we laughed and we were ready, ready to smash some teams to make our school proud. When we got their we were all nervous. (and I know for a fact I was the scaredest) We set our bags down and found our field, but before we played our first game we had to go over some rules, we had 5 games but I was just saying in my head, this is so boring, can we just play the game already, but I waited patiently. Finally they finished saying the rules, so we bolted over to the field and guess what, we went up against Henderson Valley and they have these two really good players called Kalani and Nash. I was so scared and nervous, I thought I would lose the whole game for the A team, but no, I was surprisingly doing well, I thought I would have done horribly. As we went through our four other games we only conceded two goals. When we went over to the center of Henderson Highs field to announce the final and we made it in to the finals, we were saying YAY! like we were proud of it. We went up against Henderson Primary and we won, it was two nil which was great, you know why, because we won the cup. As we all jumped around so happily we all took a photo with the cup and charged our way back to the bus all proud of what we have done and showed the school and Miss Swanepoel. Personally I think everyone did a great job at the Winter Sports Day.

Paper Cranes

This week is Peace week and today we learnt how to make Paper Cranes. Their was so much folding and folding. The reason we made Paper Cranes is because it has been thirty years nuclear free also we read a book called Sadako and she tried to make 1,000 Paper Cranes. I found making Paper Cranes really hard and I didn't manege to make a paper crane not even on my 3rd or 4th try. But I learnt that to never ever to give up and keep on trying and you will succeed.
